Fall 2024 Sept. 11th, 18th, 25th Oct. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th Nov. 6th, 13th, 20th, Dec. 4th, 11th (13 days) No class 11/27 (Thanksgiving Break) Fee: $455 (Sibling 1 $405, Sibling 2 $350) Winter 2025 Jan. 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th Feb. 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March 5th, 12th, (10 days) Fee: $350(Sibling 1 $300, Sibling 2 $250) Spring 2025 March 19th, 26th April 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th May 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th (10 days) No Class Wednesday April 16th Passover/Spring Break Fee: $350(Sibling 1 $300, Sibling 2 $250) Class Description: Stage combat is as old as theatre in the west- safe, realistic ways of ‘fake fighting’ have always been needed to enhance the drama on stage and screen. This stage combat class will begin with simple unarmed combat then move on to swords and other weapons, learning the basic footwork, six basic parries and a range of blade attacks, disengages, coupes and avoids. This year we will also explore scene construction, integrating dialogue and character while increasing the complexity and duration of the fights themselves.
