Students will be taught a working knowledge of these programs, and use them to create their own original artworks. Lessons will focus on the principles of photography, fine art and the moving image as applied to digital production on the iPad/Mac Laptop. Lessons will include creating digital self-portraits, Surrealist images, original videos based on daily life and the NYC surroundings, animations, and more. As part of the course, students will be given a basic understanding of the history of digital art, and we will make visits to NYC museums and or/galleries to view and discuss relevant artworks.
