Fall 2024 Sept. 12th, 19th, 26th, Oct. 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st Nov. 7th, 14th, 21st Dec. 5th, 12th (13 days) No class 11/28 (Thanksgiving Break) Fee: $455+$40 material fee (Sibling 1 $405 +$40 material fee, Sibling 2 $350+$40 material fee) Winter 2025 Jan. 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th Feb. 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th March 6th, 13th (10 day Fee: $350 + $40 material fee per term (Sibling 1 $300+$40 material fee, Sibling 2 $250+$40 Spring 2025 March 20th, 27th, April 3rd, 10th, 24th, May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th (10 days) No Class Thursday April 17th Passover/Spring Break Fee: $350 + $40 material fee per term (Sibling 1 $300+$40 material fee, Sibling 2 $250+$40 Class Description: Students engage with dynamic content including: self-paced Italic handwriting workbook; practical English grammar from discussion of great children’s literature read aloud; copy-work and/or dictation from the literature for supported self-correction in class; narration as a comprehension tool; Latin & Greek roots as a game; memory work using famous poetry and writing poetry of our own! We always have room for questions, and have a few projects involving the history of language and of written language as art. The class atmosphere has an organic sense of peer mentorship. There will be room for social interaction. We always start with a check-in circle. Each child has a chance to share. The class has a comforting structure, and plenty of variety to keep it snappy. We wrap with some chat time for the kids to connect with each other. Language is a social tool, so we practice it by being social.
